On Jun. 4, the Founding Meeting of Professional Committee for Innovative Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Weifang Association of Cultural Industry (hereinafter referred to as the PCIDICH) was held in Yangguang 100 of Kuiwen District, and attended by over 100 individuals, including Li Yilong, a Grade-IV Investigator from Weifang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, News and Publications, Qiu Zhaofeng, Curator of Weifang Municipal Cultural Center and Director of Municipal Intangible Heritage Protection Center, Dong Chuanyu, President of Weifang Association of Cultural Industry, together with practitioners in intangible heritage protection at municipal and county levels, and inheritors of intangible heritage.
Li Yilong pointed out that foundation of the Professional Committee of Intangible Heritage under the Municipal Association of Cultural Industry is an important initiative to execute the implementation plan of innovative development in intangible heritage with the aims leveraging the role of cultural industry in promoting intangible heritage, enhancing its integration with other cultural industries and intangible heritage, constructing a characteristic cultural industry and cultural market system with intangible heritage as the core, and exploring the “Weifang model” of innovatively developing intangible heritage.
The foundation of the Professional Committee of Intangible Heritage is advantageous to give play to inheritors and leading enterprises of intangible heritage, integrate various intangible heritage resources, construct online and offline platforms of intangible heritage, marketing channel with market competitiveness, push forward creative and innovative development of intangible heritage products, enhance value added to intangible heritage products, and further promote the contribution of intangible heritage resources in the development of economy and society.
Next, the Professional Committee of Intangible Heritage will apply technologies of big data and AI to push forward the in-depth integration of intangible heritage protection and “internet +”, innovatively construct the platform of “intangible heritage + internet”, and online intangible heritage museum and big database of intangible heritage, to lay a foundation for the protection, inheritance, and innovative development of intangible heritage. By combining the online mall and offline network for intangible heritage, and via the online and offline connection, protection, innovative transfer and development of intangible heritage will be promoted by production.
