In terms of project construction, based on the industrial foundation, Weifang has organized and implemented 112 key sea-related projects with a total investment of more than 150 billion yuan, and initially formed a Marine power equipment industry cluster with Weichai and Haomai as the centre.
In 2020, Weifang's port development will continuly contribute to promote the integration of port industry and city in anall-round way. The strategic cooperation agreement will be signed with Shandong Port Group, and the headquarters of Bohai Bay Port Group will be formally settled in Weifang, which is establishing that Weifang Port's central position in the Yellow River Delta Port Group.
At present, weifang port has opened 11 container domestic trade routes and 2 container foreign trade routes, forming an internal and foreign trade route network covering domestic coastal areas and Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.

Weifang is a national comprehensive transportation hub, an important coastal city around the Bohai Sea, with freeways, high-speed railways, airports and ports. There are 8 freeways go through of Weifang and crossed high-speed railway network.
Weifang Port is a national first-class open port, which has opened international routes such as Japan, South Korea and so on. Weifang Airport has opened 16 airlines at present.
