The national Qilu Culture (weifang) Ecological Protection Area has been set up officially, Weifang Ledao Concentration Camp Museum won the honor of "national patriotism education demonstration base" , nominated by central and provincial leadership, expanded its influence all over the country.
Improve the related institutions
Weifang has 427 representative intangible cultural heritage projects at or above the municipal level and 357 inheritors. There are 4,099 immovable cultural relics registered, 423 cultural preservation institutes at or above the municipal level, and more than 519,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics in the collection. To strengthen the leadership of cultural tourism work, the government set up a municipal leading team and a special class for the protection and utilization of cultural heritage at the city and county. The optimized organization guarantees the sustainable protection and utilization of cultural heritage and the integration of cultural and tourism.
Reinforce system of policies and regulations

We formulated “a number of policies to promote the development of cultural tourism industry with high quality ", "a plan about promotion of the city tourism quality ", "Qilu culture (weifang) ecological Protection Area work plan" and so on, legally guarantees its scientific development.
Push innovation of cultural heritage protection
First, the "culture + industry" approach strengthen the drive force. The "Double Tenth Plan", which is building top 10 cultural and tourism groups, and upgrading top 10 tourist attractions, foster integration of cultural and tourism. Promoted the intangible heritage cultural creation, 14 works including New life of New Year Pictures won awards in the 2020 Shandong Intangible Cultural Heritage + Tourism Cultural Creation Competition. Developed the rural tourism of "Joy in the Country", that 126 villages scenic spots have been built. There are 1,847 traditional craft enterprises with an annual output value of more than 21 billion yuan including kites’ 220 million, the sales volume reaches more than 2 billion yuan, accounting for 80% of the national market and 65% of the global market.
Second, "culture + scenic spots" to create a new hot topic.The state-owned scenic spots is promoting the rights separating into three , and exploring the inner culture of key scenic spots such as the ancient city of Qingzhou and Linqu and Yishan, and successfully built one national and two provincial tourism demonstration zones. There are 57 museums in the city, including 40 non-state-owned museums, with more than 200 exhibitions annually and more than 3 million visitors. Qingzhou Old Town has introduced more than 700 performances of intangible cultural heritage every year, attracting 8 million tourists and 1.5 billion yuan of economic benefits.
Third, "Culture + Poverty Alleviation" to enrich people. Four towns were selected as typical towns of " Rural Revitalization" in the province. Two projects, "Shihu Garden Approach for the Integration of Cultural and Tourism in the New Era " and "Caijiagou Village --an Experiment on Cultural and Tourism Integration to Revitalize Rural Areas", won the provincial government's Cultural Innovation Award. Weifang Deaf-mute School has carried out vocational education program on intangible cultural heritage in which more than 150 graduates.
