There are over 100 professional and civil organizations in Weifang in the field of creative industries. With 16 council members and 67 member countries and regions, the International Kite Federation effectively promotes international exchanges by hosting kite flying related events and competitions. Weifang Arts and Crafts Association has one national-level master and two national industry masters of Arts and crafts, 61 provincial-level and 434 municipal-lev masters. The Association organizes many professional exhibitions, competitions, research and exchange activities, and has won prominent national and provincial awards. With over 173 member institutions, Weifang Cultural Industries Association plays an important role in connecting creative professionals with the sectors of advertising, cultural tourism, film and media, animation, digital publication, painting and calligraphy, kite, wood carving Chinese New Year painting, silver inlaid painting, and peach pit carving, etc.
