On Sep. 12, 2014, Planning for the Development of Cultural and Creativity Industry in the Downtown of Weifang City (2014-2020) received review in the conference room on 10F of Yangguang Building, Weifang City. The Review Meeting was presided over by Sun Lijun, the Director General of Weifang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Film and Television, News and Publications, and attended by Tan Jun, Director of the Cultural Reform Office of Propaganda Department of CPC Weifang Municipal Party Committee, Liu Binjun, the Section of Chief of Culture, other leaders from the Propaganda Department, Development and Reform Committee, Statistic Bureau, Finance Bureau, Economy and Information Committee, Planning Bureau and HR & Social Security Bureau of CPC Weifang Municipal Party Committee, Li Guoxiang, Section Chief of Cultural Industry under the Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Film and Television, News and Publications, Wang Yong, Director General of Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Film and Television, News and Publications of Fangzi District, Liang Bin, Person in Charge of the Public Undertakings Bureau of Xiashan District, as well the director generals in charge of the Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Film and Television, News and Publications from Hi-tech Zone, Binhai District, Weicheng District, Kuiwen District and Hanting District.
Other guests who showed up at the meeting include Zan Shengfeng, one of the Planning Subject Team from the Research Center of China Cultural Industry of Shandong University, Tang Yuemin from Shandong University of Arts, and Zhang Chun, the Subeditor of Creative China Research Report, etc.
On the review meeting, Prof. Zan Shengfeng, an expert in planning of cultural industry from Shandong University, gave an introduction to the planning basically, explained the background and significance of the planning, research and forum compilation process on behalf of the subject team. He also summarized the main characteristics of the planning. Dr. Tang Yuemin made a summarized report on the text of planning, with focus on the practical foundation, overall requirements, planning layout, key tasks, annual work plan and guarantee measures to develop the cultural and creative industry of the downtown of Weifang City.
It is understood that to promote the development of cultural industry in Weifang City, the Planning for the Development of Cultural and Creativity Industry in the Downtown of Weifang City (2014-2020) was formulated by a planning team subject to the leadership of Zan Shengfeng from the Research Center of China Cultural Industry of Shandong University in respect to requests of the Weifang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Film and Television, News and Publications. To thoroughly implement the spirits delivered on the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and opinions on cultural reform and development of Shandong Province to achieve the strategic goal of “build a renowned city of culture, and construct a strong city of culture”, CPC Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government resolved to accelerate the “3+6”special planning for the downtown. According to documents including Unswervingly Advance along the Road of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and Strive for Building a Well-off Society in an All-round Way, Shandong Provincial Special Planning to Develop Cultural Industry (2007-2015), Several Policies about Promoting the Development of Cultural Industry and relevant policies of Weifang City as its support to the development of cultural industry, the Weifang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Film and Television, News and Publicationsorganized the compilation of the Planning for the Development of Cultural and Creativity Industry in the Downtown of Weifang City (2014-2020) in combination with the developments in cultural and creative industry of the downtown of Weifang City.
Review experts carefully reviewed all planning texts and descriptive materials, watched the multimedia presentation, discussed with each other actively, carefully, ardently and heartily, fully affirmed the Planning and put forward concrete suggestions and opinions. At the end, Director General Sun Lijun gave a summarized speech with her high praise to the achievements in planning, and suggestions to modify and improve the details in the Planning.
