The 39th Weifang International Kite Festival and the 18th World Kite Championship was held online with the theme of "Kites Flying Together to Future" for the first time since 1984. As an UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art, Weifang has established friendly contacts with many cities. Icheon of the ROK, Chiang Mai City of Thailand, Baguio City of the Philippines and Macao Administrative Region of China sent their congratulatory video respectively wishing the Online Kite Festival a complete success and looking forward to strengthening friendly cultural exchanges and cooperation.
