To carry forward the excellent traditional culture, promoting folk arts and crafts science,and enrich youth holiday life, Weifang C&FA Promotion Office initiated the a set of crafts popularization classes for public to enhance the understanding of local culture and motive more love to hometown.To further promote the intangible cultural heritage inheritance and also assist to Weifang building " Culture City of East Asia", this Class term were Jointly organized by Qilu Culture (Weifang) Ecological Protection Area Service Center, the Promotion Office and Weifang Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association. "2022 Craft Science Popularization Class" was held from July 16 to August 14 in ICH space of Shihu Garden Cultural Block.
The five weeks popularization class activities opened a total of 10 traditional craft course, such as leather carving, New Year pictures, kite, pastries, tie-dye, pottery, glass engraving, cloth tiger, traditional lanterns. There are a total of more than 200 primary and middle school students participated in the summer course.
This activity created a vivid and practical learning atmosphere for the youth to experience a different summer vacation, meanwhile understood the broad and profound Chinese culture, stimulate their enthusiasm to Weifang traditional culture.
