On April 16, the first China (Weifang) "World Good Craft" exchange and Promotion Conference was held in Fuhua Hotel. Ms. Denis Bax, Secretary-General of UNESCO Creative Cities Network, sent a congratulatory video. Zhang Yongguo, the Minister of the Publicity Department, and CAI Daying, the chairman of the China Arts and Crafts Society, made a speech and congratulated Weifang City to be the UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Arts.

During the main conference, 18 creative cities and the special guest city of Putian in Fujian Province promoted their respective cities and related projects. In addition to showcasing the "World Good Craft" works, the event also unveiled the "Weifang Creative City Management and Development Research Center", signed an agreement for the "International Art and Craftsman Resident Exchange Program" with Icheon and Cairo, as well as established a partnership for the "China-Cambodia (Weifang Phnom Penh) International Kite Culture Festival and Cultural Exchange Project" with Cambodia-China Culture and Tourism Promotion Association.



The participants were cordially invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 40th Weifang International Kite Festival, as well as visit various cultural heritage sites such as the Weifang World Kite Museum, Shihu Garden Intan.gible Cultural Heritae Space, Shouguang Vegetable Expo, Cangjie Chinese Character Art Museum and Qingzhou Sleepless Town.
