Promoting excellent traditional culture, popularizing the arts and crafts, and enriching the vacation of teenage and children, we have launched widely the public science classes with traditional crafts as the theme annually, to enhance primary and secondary school students' cognition of national culture and love for their hometown, and further promote the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage. The "2023 Traditional Craft Science Popularization Public Class" jointly organized by Qilu Culture (Weifang) Ecological Reserve Service Center, Weifang Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art Promotion Office, Weifang Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association and Weicheng District Women's Federation was held in the ICH Space of Shihu Garden Cultural Block from July 15 to August 12.

The public class lasted for 5 weeks, 2 hours per week, and opened 10 traditional handicraft subjects including tie-dye, dough sculpture, New Year picture, kite, spline, Weixian cloth toy, traditional lantern, pottery and leather carving. Each course enrolled 20 students, a total of more than 200 primary and secondary school students participated in this summer course. The award ceremony and a variety of parent-child activities will be held in the afternoon of Saturday, August 26. We welcome all of who interested in the program visit the renewed ICH Space and experience the charm of Weifang crafts personally!

We hope that more young people can understand the profound Chinese culture through this activity, stimulate children's love for Weifang traditional culture, and practice in a lively and vivid learning atmosphere.
