Under the guidance of the Chinese
National Commission for UNESCO, the UNESCO World Heritage Centre for Training
and Research in the Asia-Pacific Region (Suzhou) is publicly soliciting
"'Bringing Cultural Heritage Back to Life' Short Video Cases" from
the society. This activity aims to explore the linkage between historical and
cultural heritages and modern society via micro-video creation, attracting more
young people to take part in heritage preservation and adaptive utilization,
thus promoting the sustainable development of cultural heritages.I. Theme: Bringing Cultural Heritage

Heritage Training and Research Center for the Asia-Pacific Region (Suzhou)Committee for
Micro-video and Micro-film of China Television Artists Association(3) Organizing CommitteeThe organizers and
the Publicity Department of Suzhou Municipal Party Committee will set up an
organizing committee, which will be in charge of making major decisions of the
event, finalizing event procedures and programs as well as awarding details of
the prizes.III. ParticipantsThe
event is open to world heritage sites, cultural heritage preservation units,
museums, universities, primary and secondary schools and cultural institutions.IV. Requirements and submission method(1) Under
the theme of “Bringing cultural heritage back to life”, and with a
self-proposed title, the short video entry is expected to showcase the
achievements in the safeguarding and utilization of cultural heritage, and to
tell stories of youth involvement in heritage protection with positive content.The video entry should be within 1-5 minutes in length,
in MP4 video format (HD, with a resolution of 1920*1080), with no corner
labels, watermarks or logos, no splash screen, lag or black edges, and no
advertisements. In principle, the size of the work should not exceed 50M, and
the subtitles should be in simplified Chinese with clear and legible sound

short video entry should be original to the organizations or individuals who
submitted it and the participants should own independent and undisputed
copyrights of their video entry, which should not be plagiarized, copied,
imitated or reproduced, and should not infringe any rights of the third party,
including but not limited to, copyrights, portrait rights, honour rights,
privacy rights, and so on. If any infringement occurs, the relevant participating
organization or individuals shall bear all legal responsibilities, and the
organizing committee will not be held liable.(3) The
organizing committee reserves the right of final interpretation of this call
for submission.V. Experts review and evaluation(1) From
October 25 to November 15 2024, the organizing committee will invite experts of
world heritage conservation, and experts in film/television production to
evaluate all the submitted works. The results will be presented to the
Organizing Committee for final review and approval.(2) The
Organizing Committee will announce the final results by end of November 2024 on
the official website. The winners will receive certificates jointly issued by
UNESCO and WHITRAP Suzhou.VI. Selected works display and promotionFor the selected
works, the committee will edit and produce a collection, which will be
broadcasted in national, provincial and municipal TV stations and other
mainstream media outlets. Outstanding works will be recommended for
